Sure, there will be dozens of Haunted Houses popping up all over town, but we'd like to highlight a couple of places that dress up their house, street or entire block in black and orange. H. Street, Sacramento California

H. Street is the street along which the Governors Historic Mansion happens to be. Officially listed as a State Historic Park, tours and reservations always pick up steam right around this time of year as its 128-year-old structure lends to a sort of Halloween Spirit in and of itself. With reports of friendly ghost sightings by both guests and tour guides alike, it certainly adds to the authenticity of the Halloween season. And you'd better believe that the townhouses and businesses parallel to the mansion also will be joining in on the Halloween fun, as trick or treaters certainly enjoy frequenting this part of Sacramento.

The Fab Forties Neighborhood

Almost always highly ranked by people in the know for the best candy, the Fab Forties neighborhood in East Sacramento seems to be the place to be to check out prime Halloween decorations. The houses you'll want to drive by run from 40th to 48th streets between J Street and Folsom Blvd. With plenty of mature and lush trees gracing the front yards, fake cobwebs, flying ghosts, and ghouls are a regular decorating occurrence to pop up. You'll want to avoid the Fab Forties neighborhood on Halloween night, as close to 500 kids descend upon that street every year.
