Best Bars For Singles In Sacramento

People of the opposite sex have been meeting each other at bars and connecting since bars first came into existence. As far as specific bars for singles to meet up in Sacramento, the list is just about non-existent; there are websites for that. What we do have in Sacramento are bars known for having attractive, friendly locals who enjoy each other's company just because the timing was right. Regardless of whether you meet someone to date at one of the following bars or not, you will almost always meet interesting people you'd like to know better. What happens from that point is left to chance and destiny.

Firestone Public House

First up is the many faces of Firestone. In the heart of downtown, this place is a great location to grab lunch, have brunch, watch sports or paint the town. With such a diverse clientele, everyone will feel comfortable here. It has 60 beers on tap, delicious specialty cocktails, 22 flat screens and a killer food menu. The open floor plan allows for the perfect "flow" around the four-sided bar in the center of the room. With how crowded the bar gets at night on the weekends, it is almost impossible not to meet someone new.

Pine Cove Tavern
509 29th St.
Sacramento, CA 95816
(916) 446-3624

Pine Cove isn't some trendy flash in the pan; this midtown watering hole has been around for over 60 years. Open the heavy old-school door and up the stairs you go. The bar has plenty of stools, a juke box, free popcorn, beer pong tournaments and enough TVs to watch whatever sporting event is on that day. The karaoke nights pack the house. Pine Cove is always in the top 10 nominees for "best sports bar" on the KCRA 3 A-list. Whether you come with friends or by yourself, you're sure to meet someone new in this friendly environment.

Faces
2000 K St.
Sacramento, CA 95811
(916) 448-7798

This nightclub has come a long way since its humble beginnings. Faces has that "big city" feel to it right when you walk through the door. With an amazing weekly schedule and great special events, you are sure to have a "fabulous" night. Every night of the week there is something different: $2 drinks on Wednesdays, karaoke on Mondays and cowboy dancing on Saturdays, the list goes on. There are 15 bar stations throughout the building, three differently themed dance floors and three patios. One of the patios even has a pool. If your single, Faces is the place to mingle.

Where do the 20-somethings go to meet up in Midtown? The answer lies on the far edge of "The Grid." The block on J Street between 27th and 28th is arguably one of the hottest places to be on a Saturday night. While there are many cool bars to choose from, The Red Rabbit Kitchen and Bar literally takes center stage. It has a ton of artisan cocktails, six awesome beers on tap and an amazing front outside seating area. Already have weekend plans? Happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday with $5 house red and white wine, $5-and-under apps, $4 wells and much more.

On the Y
670 Fulton Ave.
Sacramento, CA 95825
(916) 487-3731
www.facebook.com/ontheysacto

This list wouldn't be complete without something for everyone. This little gem is neither on the grid, nor in trendy Roseville - it's a little "off the beaten path." It's located just where the name says – on the Y-shaped piece of land where Fulton splits to Munore near Fair Oaks Boulevard. The welcoming, eclectic crowd and kitschy decor make On The Y feel like a lot of fun. That's because it is. It has two pool tables, a juke box, a great patio, karaoke and live bands. Don't miss Thursday night happy hour, where everything is half off from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
