Athletics Won't Let Bob Melvin Interview With New York Yankees

The Oakland Athletics don't plan on letting Bob Melvin get away so easily.
MLB reporter Ken Rosenthal tweeted out a rumor that the New York Yankees inquired about interviewing Melvin for a managerial position to replace Joe Girardi, and the A's denied it.
He's under contract to manage Oakland through 2019.
