A's Trade Reddick, Hill To Dodgers For Prospects
For the last few seasons, it was only a matter of time - the Oakland A's traded fan-favorite Josh Reddick.
Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reported just two hours before the trade deadline that the A's and Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to swap Reddick and starting pitcher Rich Hill for prospects.
Reddick, who is having a down year in terms of power, first voiced his frustration with the club after the Josh Donaldson trade back in 2014. He will now join a Dodgers team who is now expected to trade Yasiel Puig, their disgruntled star.
The Dodgers are also getting All-Star Hill, who turns 37
Reddick was hitting .296 with eight home runs and 28 RBI in just 68 games, while Hill is the team's ace - his 9-3 record and 2.25 ERA will boost the Dodgers rotation.
The three prospects the A's get in return are starting pitchers Frankie Montes (No. 95 ranked prospect by MLB.com), Grant Holmes (No. 62 ranked prospect by MLB.com) and Jharel Cotton.
