Sacramento-area high school basketball game canceled in 3rd quarter after fights break out
SACRAMENTO COUNTY – School officials say no players were involved in the fights that broke out during the Antelope vs. Center high school basketball game Tuesday night.
The fights broke out between students around 8:20 p.m. during the third quarter of the game at Antelope High School.
Exactly what led up to the fights is unclear, but the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says no weapons were used.
"Antelope High School staff is working closely with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office to understand the events leading up to the altercation," school officials said in a statement on Wednesday.
Antelope High School officials say staff will be on-site on Wednesday to "further assess the situation."
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
