Amber Alert Issued For Child Taken In Monterey County
UPDATE: Authorities say 2-year-old Jacob Vargas has been found safe.
CBS San Francisco reported a little after 2 p.m. that Vargas had been found safe. Authorities said someone called them to report that he knew where the car Jacob was in could be found.
Deputies were led to a barn in Monterey County and found the car and Jacob.
No suspects were at the scene.
Vargas' abduction Thursday morning prompted a statewide Amber Alert.

SOLEDAD (CBS13) - Authorities have issued a statewide Amber Alert for a child taken in Monterey County.
California Highway Patrol reports the child, 2-year-old Jacob Vargas, was in a vehicle that was warming up in a driveway along the 100 block of Head Street when, around 6:45 a.m., a suspect took off with the car.
The car is described as a black Honda Accord, license plate number 7LIE244.
Vargas was wearing a beige beanie, a blue sweater, a white shirt with a yellow stripe, grey sleeves and blue jeans.
No description of a suspect has been given.
Anyone who sees the car or knows where the child might be is asked to call authorities immediately.
