Amazon Now Offering One-Hour Delivery In Sacramento Area

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento area is now the latest area being served by Amazon's new one-hour delivery service.

Amazon says the service allows for quick delivery of common daily essentials, like paper towels and milk, to laptops and some other electronic devices.

The service is available to people with an Amazon Prime membership. However, members will need to pay $7.99 for one-hour delivery. A two-hour delivery service is free for Prime members, Amazon says.

Sacramento and its surrounding cities, like Carmichael, Elk Grove, Davis, Rocklin and Roseville can take advantage of the service starting Thursday. Shoppers can order quick delivery items seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Amazon says the Sacramento area is the 20th metropolitan area to get the service.
