Evacuations lifted for Amaral Fire in hills near Fairfield

Evacuation orders downgraded for fire near Fairfield

A wildfire in the hills near the Solano County community of Green Valley prompted evacuation warnings and orders on Wednesday.

The fire, named the Amaral Fire by Cal Fire, was burning near Amaral Court and Rockville Road.

Cal Fire said the fire burned about 12 acres before they were able to stop the forward spread. As of 12:30 p.m., the fire was 75% contained.

Crews reported no damage to structures and said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Green Valley is about 10 miles west of Fairfield.

Amaral Fire evacuations lifted

Several zones in the Green Valley area were under evacuation orders or warnings. By 2 p.m., those warnings and orders were lifted.
