Allegiant Air Soon Adding Route From Sonoma To Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will expand its service to include three cities and 22 nonstop routes.

The low-cost airline will soon offer routes from Las Vegas to Sonoma, California, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Allegiant will be competing with Southwest Airlines, which offers an average of four flights per day on its Albuquerque route.

Flights to Sonoma will begin May 19 and flights to Albuquerque will start June 2. Both routes will run twice weekly.

The airline is also expanding to Evansville, Indiana, but flights there will originate in Orlando.

The 22 new nonstop routes will be in three Florida cities; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Los Angeles; New Orleans; Phoenix; and Austin, Texas.
