Sacramento Police Investigating Shooting Turned Homicide

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Sacramento Police are investigating a homicide on the 2700 block of Branch Street.

Officers originally responded to a report of a shooting shortly after 4 a.m., but it turned into a homicide investigation, according to a press release.

An adult male was shot once, and died on scene, police said.

The shooting is under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.

The area is closed, and police encourage motorists to use alternate routes.
