Woman dead, homicide investigation underway after shooting in south Sacramento
SACRAMENTO – A homicide investigation is underway in south Sacramento after a shooting Monday morning.
Deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office responded to an apartment complex near 66th Avenue and E. Southgate Drive around 9:40 a.m. to investigate a shooting.
There, deputies say a woman believed to have been in her 30s was fatally shot. Her name has not been released.
Detectives are now at the complex investigating what led up to the shooting.
No suspect information was available
