5 Firefighters Hurt In Rollover Crash On Central California Highway

CLOVIS, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say five firefighters were injured after a U.S. Forest Service fire engine collided with another vehicle in Central California.

Agency spokeswoman Iveth Hernandez says one firefighter sustained major injuries, another had moderate injuries and the other three had minor injuries following Sunday morning's rollover crash.

She said the crew was traveling on State Route 168 to a ranger station in Prather to provide extra firefighting equipment for the Sierra National Forest.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating the cause of the accident.
