2.9-magnitude earthquake shakes Sacramento County

SACRAMENTO COUNTY - Another earthquake has occurred in Sacramento County near where a larger earthquake struck last week.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake happened at 7:42 a.m. Monday less than a mile northwest of Isleton in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.

Initially, the earthquake measured 4.0, but it has since been downgraded to 2.9. So far, there have been no reports of damage or injuries.

This is the second earthquake to hit the area in the last week. On Wednesday, a magnitude-4.1 tremblor occurred about three miles southwest of the town. That earthquake also didn't cause any damage.
