2 Men Arrested For Burglary Of Elk Grove Home Depot

ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Police say that two men have been arrested after a burglary at an Elk Grove Home Depot Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Elk Grove Police Department, officers were called to the Home Depot along the 9100 block of Stockton Boulevard around 3 p.m. due to a reported shoplifting. Police chased after two suspects and caught one at the BJ's along Laguna Springs Boulevard, but the other got away.

The second suspect – 57-year-old Fowler resident Eddie Malagon – was able to get away from the area in a red Chevy truck hauling a trailer. At some point during the ensuing chase, the suspect was able to ditch the trailer at Grant Line Road.

The chase eventually ended in Stockton and the second suspect was arrested.

Malagon and the first suspect—52-year-old Mendota resident David Mendoza – have been booked at Sacramento County Jail and are facing burglary, conspiracy and other charges.
