2 killed, toddler injured in head-on crash south of Elk Grove
SACRAMENTO COUNTY — Two drivers were killed and a toddler suffered critical injuries in a head-on crash south of Elk Grove, authorities said Tuesday night.
The California Highway Patrol South Sacramento division said it happened at approximately 9:20 p.m. along Dillard Road east of Highway 99. The driver of one vehicle, 37-year-old Ashley Godinez of Wilton was driving with her 2-year-old child when she crashed with the oncoming vehicle.
She was pronounced dead on the scene. The young girl was injured critically injured but her condition had stabilized.
On Saturday, authorities identified the driver of the other vehicle as 27-year-old Devin Ray Hendry from Ukiah. He also died at the scene.

Investigators say Hendry was making "unsafe passing maneuvers" at the time of the crash. He was also not wearing a seatbelt and was possibly intoxicated, the CHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
No other vehicles or people were involved.
