2 Dogs Dead, 8 People Displaced After North Sacramento House Fires

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Firefighters battled flames at a two North Sacramento homes early Friday morning.

The scene is on Kern Street, just off of South Avenue. Firefighters first got to the scene just after 4 a.m. and quickly called for a second alarm.

Flames coming from the first home were able to get underneath a carport and into the second home.

All people were able to get out of the homes safely, but one of the homeowners says two of his three dogs died in the fire.

A total of eight people have been displaced by the fire, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
