1 Person Stabbed To Death In Stockton; Witness Shot

STOCKTON (CBS13) - One man has died after being stabbed Tuesday during an incident in Stockton that also resulted in another person being shot.

Around 11 a.m., one man was reportedly being stabbed with a knife in the area of Tam O Shanter and Fallbrook drives. When a male witness tried to break up the struggle, the suspect reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the witness, said Stockton Police Department spokesperson Ofc. Joe Silva.

Both victims were transported to the hospital. The stabbing victim later died, and the man who was shot is expected to recover.

Police arrived at the scene, and with the help of a K9, were able to arrest the suspect.

The condition of the witness has not been released.
