19-year-old man identified as victim in Del Paso Heights shooting
SACRAMENTO – A homicide remains under investigation after a shooting left a 19-year-old man man dead in Del Paso Heights last week.
The scene was along the 3800 block of Haywood Street.
Sacramento police have confirmed that officers responded around 11:20 a.m. on Dec. 20 to investigate a shooting. One victim, a man, was transported from the scene.
Officers later learned that the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office has since identified the man killed as 19-year-old Sacramento resident Jacob Malik Frierson.
Exactly what led up to the shooting is still unclear.
