Woman found seriously injured in Downtown Pittsburgh after attack by her own dog
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman found in critical condition outside of a Downtown Pittsburgh parking garage was attacked by her own dog, police said.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, just after 4 a.m., police were alerted to a woman who was seriously hurt outside of a parking garage on Cherry Way and the Boulevard of the Allies. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
At first, police would only say that she was found injured, but in an update on Friday afternoon, they said video evidence shows the victim was attacked by her own dog and then fell several times afterward.
UPDATE: Police have obtained video evidence that shows the victim sustained her injuries as the result of an attack by her own dog and a series of falls related to the attack. She is conscious and recovering in the hospital.
