Woman Charged With Posting Nude Photo Of Son's Ex-Girlfriend Online

BROWNSVILLE (KDKA) – A woman is facing cyberbullying and other charges for allegedly posting a nude photo of her son's teenage ex-girlfriend on Facebook.

Danita Michaux, 40, of Brownsville is facing a list of charges including, child pornography, cyber harassment of a child and criminal use of a communication facility.

According to the criminal complaint, it all started when the 12-year-old girl sent a nude picture of herself to her 12-year-old boyfriend. Eventually, the boy and girl broke up.

"A 12-year-old female juvenile sent partially nude photos of herself to her 12-year-old boyfriend," said Trooper Matthew Jardine, of Pennsylvania State Police. "After they broke up, the 12-year-old boy's mother got ahold of the photos and later posted them with sexually disparaging remarks attached to the posting."

The photo was from the waist up, investigators said.

According to police, the picture was sent in 2013. But when the girl ended the relationship in 2014, she told investigators she was bullied by Michaux's family, including having the nude photo posted to a Facebook account that same year.

"The charges are filed with the magistrate, but she is not in police custody," said Trooper Jardine.

A search warrant was drafted and served on Facebook Incorporated for Michaux's account on the social media site.

"If you possess a nude photo of a person under the age of 18, you are in possession of child pornography, and if you send it to someone else, you are distributing child photography," said Trooper Jardine.

Police haven't explained the gap in time from when the nude photo was sent in 2013 to the charges being filed on Monday.
