Winter-Like Temperatures Don't Keep Pirates Fans Away From PNC Park
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Despite a chill in the air, Pirates fans turned out for Tuesday evening's game.
It was 38 degrees as people showed up at PNC Park for the game against the St. Louis Cardinals, so as you might imagine, hats, ear muffs and blankets were all popular fashion choices.
"I told my husband as we walked over here, it feels like football weather," said Stephanie Grode, of Brookline.
Nicki Lucas, from Hopewell Township, came prepared carrying three blankets: "I'm always cold, so I have my winter gear under here. Everything on!"
People stayed bundled up in the stands, and as you'd expect, some ordered a nice warm coffee.
Others, however, such as a little St. Louis fan named Chloe, wasn't about to let the cold deter her from getting some ice cream.

The stands were definitely not packed, and as night fell, so did the temperatures.
Still, though, it was a night to enjoy baseball in the 'Burgh, and for some people, this actually seemed a tropical.
"I'm a Steelers' ticket holder, so this is nothing. This is warm weather," said Don Hawthorne of Hopwood.
