Reward Offered For White Oak Bank Robbery Information

WHITE OAK (KDKA) – Police and the FBI are looking for two armed men who robbed a bank in White Oak Saturday morning. A reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest.

White Oak Police are hoping someone who sees these pictures will help identify two masked men with guns who robbed the Huntington Bank on Lincoln Way.

Police just say after 9 a.m., the suspects, one black man and one white man, walked into the bank. One of them pointed a gun toward customers and bank employees.

"He ordered everybody down to the ground," White Oak Police Chief Louis Bender said. "The second actor went around the counter, vaulted over a door, where the tellers are also ordered, 'everybody down to the ground.'"

Police say the other robber took money from the teller's drawer. There was no mention if a dye pack was included.

Huntington Bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to their arrests.

"Both actors fled," Bender said. "They had a vehicle parked out front here, a white Toyota Corrolla, and they fled through the shopping center."

Police identify the suspects as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a heavy build, wearing a ski mask and dark clothing and carrying a gray bag. The other suspect is believed to be a white male, also about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a ski mask and a trench coat.

Police are glad no shots were fired during the robbery, and no one was hurt.

"Absolutely, everybody in the bank complied," Bender said. "The couple of customers that were in there went down on the ground as ordered, and the tellers also did the same. Very fortunate nobody was injured."

A week before Thanksgiving, another bank in White Oak was robbed, but with help from the public, the suspect was taken into custody within 10 minutes. White Oak Police and the bank are hoping the public will provide information again to bring the suspects who robbed the bank to justice.

The same bank was robbed in March 2014.
