Where do I vote? How to find your polling place for the 2024 election in the Pittsburgh area.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - On Tuesday, November 5, Pennsylvanians head to the polls for the 2024 Presidential Election between Republican former President Donald Trump, and Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris.

Along with the presidential election, voters will also decide a U.S. Senate race that is expected to be close between incumbent Democrat Robert Casey Jr., and Republican David McCormick.

There will be local elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Pennsylvania State Senate, federal elections for the U.S. House Representatives, and a handful of statewide offices.

Where do I vote in Western Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania has 67 counties and more than 9,000 polling places throughout the Commonwealth.

There are 1,300 precincts in Allegheny County alone. With so many polling places, and having polling places change for various reasons throughout the years, it's important for those voting in person to know where they have to go on Election Day.

The Pennsylvania Department of State has a tool on their website where you can enter your address and easily find your polling location

What if I moved, does my polling location automatically change?

If you move, you will need to update your voter registration. For this election, that deadline passed on Oct. 21. If you moved and did not re-register, you will need to cast your ballot at your old polling place.

While the deadline to register has passed in Pennsylvania, you can still check your voter registration status here

What about voting by mail?

If you have chosen to vote by mail in this election, your ballot needs to arrive by Election Day - either by mail or in a drop box. The U.S. Postal service recommended allowing a week for mailed ballots to arrive, so if you haven't already mailed your ballot you will need to deliver it to a ballot drop-box by 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Voters can find those locations at this link
