2 teens shot in West Mifflin

UPDATE: Two teenagers have been charged as adults in connection with the July 29 shooting. Matthew Hooper, 17, and Kevin Johnson Jr., 15, exchanged gunfire and injured each other, police said. They're charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a minor.

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. (KDKA) — Two teenagers were shot in West Mifflin on Monday. 

Allegheny County police say the shooting happened along Midway Drive around 6 p.m. on Monday.

Police said that one victim was in critical condition and the other was in stable condition.

Sources tell KDKA-TV that police believe a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old shot each other. One was believed to be shot in the chest and the other was shot in the thigh. 

It is not clear what led up to the shooting. Police are investigating.
