Weekend Expected To Bring More Snow

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Another round of snow is expected this weekend.

Allegheny County is expected to get 2 to 5 inches of snow overnight. A Winter Weather Advisory is expected to take effect around 4 a.m. Sunday.

Areas north of the city could get several inches of snow Saturday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties, expiring 7 a.m. Monday.

Many areas could get up to 6 inches – even 10 inches in Crawford County, Saturday night.

Closer to the city we could see some snow showers mixed with rain.

"And that means for the core of Southwestern Pennsylvania, I think it's mainly a rainy, wet setup on Sunday afternoon, into Sunday evening," said KDKA Chief Meteorologist Jeff Verszyla.

Saturday is expected to bring slightly warmer temperatures, in the mid-20s.
