Water Main Break Creates Geyser Near Banksville Road

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A water main break created a geyser at the intersection of Banksville Road and Chappel Ave. this morning.
Police have blocked off Chappel Avenue, but Banksville Road is still open to traffic.
Crews are currently repairing the 8-inch water main.
The Pennsylvania American Water Company says approximately 22 customers are experiencing no or low water pressure. They expect normal service to be restored later this afternoon.
If you need to take Route 19 and make your way to 376 into downtown, Banksville Road is clear, but be cautious.
