Virtual Reality Brings Memorials To Vets Who Can't Travel

KINGWOOD, TX (CBS) --- Thousands of veterans of World War II and the Korean War have experienced Honor Flights, which bring veterans from around the country to Washington, DC to see the memorials built in their honor.

But what about veterans who are too frail to make the journey?

Virtual reality is helping to bring the memorials to them through a program called Honor Everywhere. Veterans are provided with goggles that let them see memorials in 3D.

This year on Veterans Day, the group will add a virtual reality tour of the Vietnam Wall to their programming.
