Vacant House Goes Up In Flames, Collapses In Penn Hills

PENN HILLS (KDKA)- Firefighters had their hands full with a big fire in a vacant house in Penn Hills.

It started right around 3 a.m. on Thursday, at a home at the intersection of San Juan and Doak Streets.

When crews arrived on scene, the house was fully engulfed.

At one point, the command on scene had to pull all firefighters away from the house, as the roof collapsed.

It took close to an hour to get the fire under control. Firefighters stayed at the scene to put out the hot spots.

There were no injuries reported.
