Tyler Boyd Earns Weekly ACC Honors For Performance Against Syracuse

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Coming off the Panthers' 30-7 victory over Syracuse in which he caught seven passes for 126 yards and a touchdown, Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd has been named the ACC Receiver of the Week.

Boyd also came up clutch when his team needed him as he scored the game-clinching touchdown on an impressive 49-yard catch-and-run that put the team up 27-7.

For Boyd, this was the fourth consecutive game, and fifth time on the season, that Boyd eclipsed the 100 receiving yard mark.

On the year, Boyd has 1,077 receiving yards and has become the first player in ACC history to compile 1,000-yard receiving seasons in both his freshman and sophomore years. Boyd is only the second Pitt player to achieve this as Larry Fitzgerald was the first to accomplish it in 2002 and 2003.

Pitt will wrap up their season this Saturday at 7 p.m. at Miami as they look to reach the six-win mark and gain bowl eligibility. You can hear all the action on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN.
