Two dead, one hospitalized in crash

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - Two people are dead in Westmoreland County following a crash in Allegheny Township.

Around 9:30 a.m., first responders were called to Melwood Road for an accident, and once they arrived, they found that two people were dead. 

Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson on Saturday released more information on the crash.

Victims identified after deadly crash in Westmoreland County

Stephen Dasta, 53, and Alan Karadeema, 41, were later identified as the crash victims. Seatbelts were not worn by Dasta or Karadeema, the report states. Speed also appears to be a factor, Carson added.

A third person was airlifted to the hospital; their condition is unknown.
