Two People Arrested In Connection With Shots Fired In Sheraden

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two people have been arrested following reports of criminal mischief and shots fired in Sheraden.

Pittsburgh police say that the incidents took place between Mar. 15 and 18. On Mar. 17, shots were fired into the front wall of a home of Zephyr Street. One of the bullets entered a room that four children were inside.

Police identified a suspect, and on Saturday, approached two 17-year-old males on Hillsboro Street. Officers could reportedly see a "heavy object weighing down" a sweatshirt worn by one of the boys. A revolver was discovered in the sweatshirt and the juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a minor and possession of a firearm without a license.

Another man, 21-year-old Terrance Murphy, was arrested after detectives pulled him over and saw a firearm in his vehicle. Murphy was charged with person not to possess a firearm, firearm not to be carried without a license, and various motor vehicle violations.
