Report: One Dead In Accident Involving Truck, Amish Buggy
FRYBURG, Pa. (KDKA) -- One person was killed when a truck and an Amish buggy were involved in a crash on Route 208 in the Fryburg area Thursday afternoon.
According to ExploreClarion.com, Eli Mast, one of the occupants of the buggy, died at Clarion Hospital. The two other occupants of the buggy, Rudy Mast and Amon Mast, suffered serious injuries and were also sent to the hospital for treatment.
State police said that 25-year-old Kevin M. Jones, the truck driver, rear-ended the Amish buggy around 4:40 p.m. on Route 208 at Bell Road. All three of the passengers were thrown from the buggy, and the truck struck a guide rail, overturned and rolled down an embankment.
