PITTSBURGH (KDKA) –The University of Pittsburgh underwent some massive changes yesterday.
Paul Chryst officially left the school to take over the head coaching duties at the University of Wisconsin – his alma mater.
Rumors of the switch started to fly almost immediately after Gary Andersen left Wisconsin to take over the head coaching job at Oregon State.
So, it came as no surprise that Chryst was formally introduced as Wisconsin's new head football coach Wednesday night.
However, what did come as a surprise was Pitt relieving Steve Pederson of his duties as the school's athletic director.
Some fans had been calling for Pederson to be removed for years. Once the news broke of his dismissal, Pitt fans took to Twitter with plenty of clever quips.
