Penguins Dress To Impress At Annual Halloween Party
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Halloween is only a couple of days away. If you're looking for some costume ideas, maybe the Pittsburgh Penguins can be of some assistance.
The Pens held their annual Halloween party last week and pictures from the event have popped up all over social media.
Highlights of last year's party included, Pascal Dupuis and his wife dressing as Minions and Kris Letang and his wife who went as characters from the "Corpse Bride."
Let's take a look at some of the best photos from this year's event!
Marc-Andre Fleury likes to joke around, so we can only imagine the reactions he got when he arrived this year. Fleury and his wife, Veronique, went as an old couple.
Fleury even had a fake belly!
Mario Kart is one of the most popular games of all-time. Just trust us on this one. If you didn't like the game or the series, you probably had one too many run-ins with blue shells and lightning bolts. While frustrating, don't let it cloud your judgement!
Anyway, Conor Sheary and his fiancée dressed up as Mario and Princess Peach!
Wait, there's more!
Scott Wilson and Bryan Rust joined in the fun with their significant others. The result is something to behold.
Check out the detail in the group picture. They even added the balloons!
Letang and his wife turned heads once again this year opting to go as Bootstrap Bill and a mermaid.
According to the Penguins' official website, it took a whopping FIVE hours to complete their makeup. In the end, the time was well spent!
Last year, Chris Kunitz and his wife went as Doc and Marty from "Back to the Future." This year? They stepped it up a notch and went as Frankenstein and his bride.
Derrick Pouliot and his significant other went as Squints and Wendy Peffercorn from the classic movie "The Sandlot."
Meanwhile, Brian Dumoulin dressed up as Lumiere from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."
Happy Halloween!
