Storm, Flood Warnings Issued As Severe Weather Moves Though Area
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The day started out with hot temperatures and beautiful sunshine, but by mid-afternoon, severe weather moved into the area causing damage and flash flooding.
A number of weather alerts were issued.
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have all since expired for several counties, from Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Westmoreland.
A Flash Flood Warning was in effect for Allegheny, Beaver, Lawrence and Westmoreland counties throughout the evening.

In Beaver County, pea-sized hail came down in Freedom.
A large tree was uprooted and fell in the 2900 block of 4th Street in Beaver Falls. A home sustained some minor damage. No one was injured.
In Allegheny County, heavy rain flooded Route 48 in White Oak near Center Street.
Over in West Mifflin, the tunnel that leads out to main entrance and exit of Kennywood was flooded with at least three-feet of water during the storms.
People there said security prevented park-goers from entering the tunnel and guests exited from another location. The water level has since come down, but the park is closed.
In North Versailles, a strong gust of wind blew down a tree along Crooked Run Road. It also brought down some power lines with it.
In Munhall, flooding has been reported at West Run Road at Tioga Street.
Duquesne Light says about 6,000 customers were still without power as of 10 p.m. They say a fire at a substation in Liberty Borough left about 1,000 customers without power, which has since been restored. Lightning may have caused that fire.
