The Pittsburgh area will see temperatures in the 70s today with another chance for a record high tomorrow

KDKA-TV Morning Forecast (11/4)

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Temperatures in the Pittsburgh area are expected to be back in the 70s today with mostly cloudy skies.

It's a mild start to the morning with temperatures in the 50s.

We dry out on Tuesday for Election Day and could again tie or break the record high of 80° set back in 1948 with partly sunny skies.

Rain showers return overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning but only picking up about .10"-.25" of rain. We need a lot of rain to help out our drought situation where we have severe to extreme drought conditions through the region.

Highs will be near 70, which is still above normal.

At the end of the week, we see sunshine and highs in the low to mid 60s. Rain chances return again on Sunday.

Above normal temperatures are expected to stick around through mid-November!
