Teal Pumpkin Project Raising Awareness For Kids With Allergies

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- With Halloween on Monday, trick-or-treaters are getting their costumes ready to head out on the annual hunt for candy and treats.

But for parents with kids who have allergies, Halloween can be a scary time. Now a growing campaign is trying to raise awareness.

If you're handing out non-food treats, you're asked to put out a teal pumpkin.

The Teal Pumpkin Project is now in its third year.

They have an interactive map online, where families can track participating homes.
