Man Acquitted In Adams' Stabbing Arrested In Fineview SWAT Incident

FINEVIEW (KDKA) – It was a busy morning in the Fineview section of the North Side.

Police tried to serve four people with warrants at the Allegheny Dwellings apartment building on Sandusky Court.

"We believe there were drugs being sold out of a residence. An apartment there in the court," Pittsburgh Police Public Information Officer Sonya Toler said.

When police got to the scene, the suspects barricaded themselves inside.

"At the time SWAT tried to enter, we were met with resistance at the door and had to go through a process of communicating with people inside," Toler said.

After 15 or 20 minutes, the suspects surrendered peacefully. Police ended up arresting six people; four men and two women. A small amount of cocaine and a firearm were confiscated.

Police say one of the suspects is Dquay Means, who served time for allegedly participating in the stabbing of Mike Adams of the Steelers. However, he was later acquitted, but convicted of escape for running from police. He was on probation for that incident and was one of the four people who had a warrant out for their arrest.

Israel Hill was trying to get out of the house so he could take his two year old daughter to daycare, then head to work.

"When you come outside and see something like this, it makes me really want to stay in this house and move out of here," Israel Hill said.
