Suspect Sought In Fatal Hill District Shooting

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in the Hill District Tuesday night.

According to police, the shooting happened in the 2500-block of Chauncey Drive in the Bedford Dwellings housing complex around 6:30 p.m.

Frankie Trammell, 24, was shot in the chest and taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Trammell was pronounced dead at 7:18 p.m.

Family members say he was the father of a young baby girl.

A vigil is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday in the same courtyard where the fatal shot rang out.

Homicide detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the housing complex.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call police at (412)-323-7800.
