NORTH SIDE (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Public School students heading home after a day of school at Pittsburgh Manchester PreK-8 School had a scary ride home Thursday.

A bus transporting some of the students home was involved in an accident at the intersection of Maline and Vinceton Streets about 3:30 p.m. in the Perry North/Observatory Hill neighborhood.

It appears the bus was traveling down the hill on Vinceton when the back end of the bus was rear-ended by a car coming into the intersection from Maline Street.

The wheels of the school bus went over the curb.

Pittsburgh Public Schools confirm the bus was transporting four students from Pittsburgh Manchester PreK-8, when it was rear-ended by the dark colored sedan and a driver holding an infant carrier. The car sustained front-end damage.

Paramedics were called to the scene and examined the students. Two were transported to Children's Hospital. KDKA has learned those children have minor injuries only.

A relief vehicle was also sent to the scene to get the remaining students home safely. No word on any charges against the driver of the bus or the car.
