Storms Bring More Flooding To Southwestern Pennsylvania

CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. (KDKA) --- Sunday night's storms brought more flooding to parts of southwestern Pennsylvania.

In Fayette County, there was flooding in the Wickhaven community in Perry Township. Flood waters were covering roadways and bridges near the intersection of Turnbull and Wickhaven Hollow Roads.

In Connellsville, part of U.S. Route 119 was flooded early Monday morning. Also, the National Weather Service reported part of State Route 982 in Bullskin Township was underwater Sunday night.

In Westmoreland County, there was flooding in several communities.

Officials in Smithton say storms hit hard around 9 p.m. Sunday, causing a lot of flooding on Second Street and some on First Street. More than a dozen homes had flooded basements.

Flash flooding was also reported Sunday night in Butler, Clarion and Washington Counties.
