Storage facility fire breaks out overnight at Connellsville Airport
CONNELLSVILLE (KDKA) - Overnight, firefighters in Fayette County rushed to the Joseph A. Hardy Connellsville Airport to battle a structure fire.
Smoke could be seen billowing into the air as crews arrived at the scene.
The airport manager there said it was his hangar that caught on fire and everything inside was destroyed. He said he stored two airplanes, a sailboat, five motorcycles, and a 1961 Corvette inside the hangar.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
The state fire marshal is now investigating.
