Steelers WR Antonio Brown On Hit During Bengals Game: They Tried To Kill Me, Steal My Dreams
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is still upset over the hit by Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict in their Wild Card matchup.
Brown joined "The Cook and Poni Show" from Super Bowl 50 Thursday morning.
"Guys don't want to stop me anymore. They want to take me out. They want to kill me," Brown said. "They want to steal my dreams. They want to ruin me. They want to end me, but we're not gonna let them. What we are gonna do is win more."
When asked about what happened after the hit by Burfict Brown said, "Every guy talks, but when you do something like that, when you hit a defenseless guy in the helmet, a lot of things, not right about that position."
Brown also feels that the Bengals should not be getting a platform to even discuss what happened in the game.
Brown says he hasn't made peace with Adam "Pacman" Jones.
"No the guy text me, no reply, I don't even know why people him a platform to say something, ridiculous," Brown said.
Brown said he was never close to being cleared to play against the Broncos.
"I didn't have a chance," he said. "Man, I wish I could have been out there with my teammates. I'm living with regrets that we could have been in the Super Bowl.
"Seventy percent of your vision holds your balance. I had no energy, bad balance, dizziness, headaches. I wouldn't have been able to play.
Brown said he cleared concussion protocol the Tuesday following the Broncos game.
