State Police Seek Suspect In Youngwood Church Burglaries

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- State Police in Westmoreland County are looking for a man accused in multiple burglaries at the same church.

The target of three burglaries since May, officials at Christ United Methodist Church in Youngwood decided to do something about it.

New security cameras were installed recently.

A few days later, images of the alleged suspect showed up after the latest break-in.

"Because they had these burglaries, they started in May, and they've had three from May till the beginning of this month. They realized the importance of having some security cameras installed in their church. It's unfortunate that a church has to think that way; but fortunately, from their security cameras, we were able to get some pictures of an individual that is breaking into the church," said Trooper Steve Limani, of the Pennsylvania State Police.

If you know who this individual is, troopers want to hear from you.

Investigators aren't saying just how much money was taken in the burglaries, but said it was substantial.
