State Police Seek 3 Suspects In Hempfield Twp. Home Invasion

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in West Hempfield, Westmoreland County.

Three men forced their way into a home on Old Harmony Lane around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say the men were carrying weapons and wearing ski masks, and that they threatened 50-year-old Terry Peters and his wife.

Police say the men broke through the couple's screened in porch and broke down the front door in order to get inside the home.

Police say the group threatened the couple with guns, stole some small items, including jewelry, from the home and drove off.

So far, no one has been arrested, but police are still investigating. It is unclear why the men targeted Peters' home.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Greensburg.
