State Police Searching For Suspects In Two Theft Cases

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pennsylvania State Police are searching for two suspects who they believe are involved in the theft of a payroll check and check book in Butler Township and the theft of a truck in Clarion.

In addition to the state police, the Butler Township Police are investigating the theft of a payroll check and check book from a car on July 11.

A man and a woman attempted to cash the victim's payroll check at Citizen's Bank in Grove City. Three more checks were written at Armour and the Nike Store, Prime Outlets in Grove City and Tractor Supply in Warren, Ohio. The woman attempted to write a check at Gander Mountain, also located in Warren, Ohio.

The state police are also investigating the theft of a white 2007 Toyota Tacoma truck from the parking lot of Commodore Homes on SR 66 Paint Township, Clarion. The truck was stolen on July 15 between 6:15 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. The thieves have used or attempted to use the victim's credit card and personal checks in stores in: Clarion; Clintonville; Grove City outlets; Youngstown, Ohio and Niles, Ohio.

The suspects both have noticeable tattoos on their arms, and the woman has a tattoo on her left thigh. Witnesses in Clarion saw an older model, full-size red Chevy truck with silver or white along the bottom. The truck has noticeable body damage and rust.
