The Beaver County district attorney said on Friday night that the man is in custody after a mental health call led him firing one shot and running into the woods with a gun. It happened near Whistler Drive in Rochester Township.
The Rochester vs. Shenango football game was delayed and fans were evacuated from the stadium. Officials say lights from the stadium interfered with police's night vision equipment.
Officials say the man ran out of his home with a gun, fired it and made threats around 6:30 p.m.
"There's an old cemetery at the top of the hill and he lives here, he hunts here, he knows the woods very well, so that's where he went for safety," said Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier.
