Southern Armstrong Regional police safely locate missing 14-year-old girl

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A 14-year-old who was missing and believed to be in danger has been found safe and has been taken back to her parents by police.

Police are searching for a missing 14-year-old girl who they believe to be in danger.   

Southern Armstrong Regional police said on Friday that Gabriella Dunmire is missing and was possibly with Nicholas Weckerly. In an update on Facebook, police said Weckerly was located, but Dunmire's whereabouts are still not known. Police said they confirmed they were together and Weckerly is being questioned by investigators. 

When police posted about the missing girl on Facebook shortly before 6:30 p.m., police said they believed the vehicle had just gotten onto Route 28 in Tarentum.

Dunmire is described as 5-foot-2 with dark long hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a red sweater and gray sweatpants. She's possibly heading towards Pittsburgh, police said.
