Snow Arrives, Expected To Have Effect On Thanksgiving Travel

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Snow moved into our area Wednesday morning, which may impact Thanksgiving travel plans.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, snow will affect the Pittsburgh area, today, and it could be enough to be troublesome.

Bowman said we can expect less than an inch, locally, with 1-2 inches in our eastern counties with 3-6 inches in the Laurel Highlands.

Some areas of central and eastern Pennsylvania will receive 6-12 inches of snow from this coastal nor'easter.

So, for travelers headed east today, lots of extra time must be taken into consideration.

The high today in Pittsburgh will be 37 degrees with a low of 29 degrees tonight. There will also be just a few flurries late tonight.

For Thanksgiving Day, expect a few flurries with a coating possible near Interstate 80. The high temperature will be near 40 degrees.
