Sheetz To Become First Convenience Store Chain In Pa. To Sell Wine
SHIPPENSBURG (KDKA) -- A Sheetz in Eastern Pennsylvania will be the first to sell wine following the passing of Act 39, the "ABC and Wine Privatization Act."
On Tuesday, the chain's East King Street location in Shippensburg will sell the first bottle of wine in a Pennsylvania convenience store chain.
According to a press release, the updated PA-HB 1690 bill, which has changed how liquor is sold in the state, will potentially provide the state with a financial boost of up to $150 million in new revenue.
